Wheelz Online

So it was my birthday last month and it was a low key event.  I’ve decided I’m getting too old to go out and make a fuss about it, so it was just myself and my girlfriend out for a meal; all the family was before hand (except my brother who only having 24 years to lean when my birthday is, forgot) and it was nice to have time to myself for a change.  I was on holiday from work, sat in front of the TV watching snooker.  What more could I ask for?

Well, i’ve wanted for longer than I can remember a remote control helicopter and it happened that most people gave me cold hard cash this year, so I put to and am now the proud owner of a helicopter.  Its a lot harder than it looks to fly it let me tell you.

This was the last good thing to happen to me for a while.  The following day my water cooler decided to heat rather than cool so I had to go buy a new one

Later that week the oven broke so I had to take that to bits and repair it.  Then to really make sure that I had a crap couple of weeks, my girlfriend calls me into the bedroom one night and jumps up and down on the carpet to show it squelshing under foot – The emersion heater had decided to spring a leak.  So all in all a crap couple of weeks.

We are pretty much sorted now though which is good.  So now i’m sat here at my desk spending the next few hours installing all the software on my macbook pro i’ve just upgraded.

About 2 years ago, I bought myself a black macbook to see what all the fuss was about.  I went from having mountains of PC’s and laptops to going totally mac now.  I could go on a long long rant about how much better Apple OS X is over windows but thats been done to death.  So lets just leave it that I’ve got a sparkly super 17″ Macbook Pro now as my main computer.

To transport it around I had a nice attache bag but I found problems with carrying it around like that and I’ve been on the lookout for a backpack style back for it for months now.  The problem???  It seems that companies who make said bags for 17″ laptops thing that they are ok to make them as ugly as possible.

Until today…  I was in my local shopping mall and wandered into the Sony Centre to look at HD TVs and just as we were about to leave I saw it on the wall.  Black and Red..  A pretty laptop back for my size of computer.  The only problem?  The shop is Sony and its for a Sony Vaio, made clear by the fact it has is plastered down the side of the outside of the bag.  But as it is the only bag I’ve seen which looks nice, I’ve bought it anyway.  I just need to point out that if the world was ending and only I could save it by using a Vaio notbook… well I hope you’ve all said your goodbyes.
